  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

UDT07 Direct and Wildcard Links Subtasks

In stand-alone installations of Time & Expense, use the UDT07 Direct and Wildcard Links subtasks of the UDT01S screen to add and/or delete UDT07 links in stand-alone installations of Time & Expense.

Linking of UDT 01 and UDT07 (link 17) is not supported in co-deployed systems, so the Direct and Wildcard subtasks for this link do not display.

Each link subtask table displays the linked items of the current UDT01. Different column headings and data display in the table, depending on whether you are using Direct or Wildcard links or the Costpoint Multicompany feature, or calculating rates.
Note: The Direct Link or Wildcard subtasks display conditionally, depending on how link options are set on the UDT options tab of Configuration > General Controls > Configure General Settings. For example, if the UDT is configured as a direct link, the subtasks related to Wildcards do not display, or conversely, if configured as Wild Card, the Direct Links subtasks do not display.

UDT07Direct Links Subtask

Field Description
Costpoint Company This non-editable column displays the Costpoint company name for the currently linked UDT07s. The column will display if you selected the Costpoint Multicompany check box in the Miscellaneous tab of the General Settings screen.
UDT07 Click to select a UDT07 to link to the UDT01.
UDT07 Description This column displays the currently linked UDT07 descriptions.
Rate 1

This column displays the rate 1 value for the currently linked UDT07s. This column displays only if you selected the Use check box for Rate 1 in the User -Defined Rates group box of the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Settings screen, and its title is as defined in the Label field.

Enter the rate 1 rate that you wish to use for this UDT07 link. This field will be available if you are calculating Rate 1. The range is "-99999999.99999" to "99999999.99999."

Rate 2

This column displays the rate 2 value for the currently linked UDT07s. This column displays only if you selected the Use check box for Rate 2 in the User-Defined Rates group box of the Miscellaneous tab of the Time Settings screen, and its title is as defined in the Label field.

Enter the rate 2 rate that you wish to use for this UDT07 link. This field will be available if you are calculating Rate 2. The range is "-99999999.99999" to "99999999.99999."

UDT07 Wildcard Links Subtask

Field Description

UDT01 This column displays the currently-linked UDT01.
UDT07 This column displays the currently linked wildcard UDT07s.

Rate 1
